DNS’ importance for SEO performance – part 2
In the first blogpost in this series, the focus was on why the Domain Name System (DNS) is a critical but often overlooked component of technical SEO.
DNS is positioned as the infrastructure layer that supports website speed, availability, accessibility, and crawl efficiency, and as a key factor in how search engines evaluate reliability and user experience. Building on that foundation, this second part moves from configuration and theory to real-world impact.
This second blogpost examines how DNS performance affects SEO in practice, beginning with its role in loading speed and search performance. From the first DNS lookup to page rendering and crawl behaviour, DNS performance directly shapes how both users and search engines experience a website. Together, the two posts provide a complete view of DNS as a strategic asset for long-term SEO success.
DNS’ importance for SEO performance – part 1
We will explore, in a two-part series blogposts, the relationship between DNS and SEO and how optimising DNS can support stronger search performance on your website. In this first post, we focus on the fundamentals: why DNS matters for SEO, briefly on how DNS works and what SEO is, and how DNS settings form a critical part of a website’s technical SEO foundation. Together, the two posts provide a complete view of DNS as a strategic asset for long-term SEO success.
Securing email in DNS – part 1
This is the first part of a planned article series in three parts about how the DNS is instrumental in elevating the security for the email service. In this series we will cover how to counter spam with SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and continue with securing email transfer with certificate-signed TLS transfers using MTA-STS, TLSA and DANE.
New platform release
This is our biggest and most extensive release so far. Over the last year we have rewritten the majority of our backed, front end and monitoring code. We have implemented lots of changes and additions, a new price list and a new look and feel to our GUI. On top of that we also releases a completely new and updated web.
Monitoring DNS
This article describes why DNS monitoring requires a different approach than how IT systems normally are monitored. To be able to fully describe this we need to explain some fundamentals about how DNS infrastructures usually are implemented in most organisations.
DNS Threats part 4: Denial of Service
Denial of Service attacks are also known as overload or blocking attacks and are as old as the Internet itself. These types of attacks have evolved over the years to resemble legitimate traffic in order to avoid detection of anti-DDoS countermeasures.
Use the 14 day trial period to test our monitoring service without any commitments.
During the trial period you can configure up to three domains and switch back and forth between our Free, Basic and Premium services.
