A: Yes. You can download monitoring data through our API.

Q: We have outsourced our DNS service to a DNS provider. Is there a reason why we should use DNSmonitor to monitor our domains?

A: It pretty much depends on what is agreed on in the SLA. Usually the service provider provides the DNS service and is usually responsible for the service availability, but not for the zone content and its integrity, which customary belongs to the domain owner. So the answer is yes, you would benefit from using DNSmonitor.

A: Not currently. We require a valid email account and password.

A: There is no upper limit how many domains you can monitor, except is you run our Free mode option. In Free mode you can only monitor three domains.

Q: Which alerting options can I choose from?

A: Currently we have a well working integration with PagerDuty. Other options will be considered when they are requested. Note that neither email nor SMS is very good options for handling alerts for different reasons.

The monitoring service will be put on hold for a week when we try to charge the credit card. After that the service will be terminated and converted to a free plan.
