Event severities

Throughout the monitoring user interface we use named and color-coded severities to indicate the result of each individual check. The severities are listed below.

It is important to note that an ERROR result from a single check does not necessarily have an impact on the overall DNS service and should be taken as an isolated indicator.

Green is good! The Information severity indicates that the check was successful and produced the expected result.

A warning message indicates that the check has found an undesirable result. The result is worrying and needs to be fixed but does not pose a direct threat to the DNS service.

A check has returned unexpected or incorrect results. Fixing the bug should be a priority, as it may pose a direct risk to the DNS service.

The check failed to execute or receive a viable response.
