What is a DNS monitor operator and how to become one. Features, benefits, discounts and commitments.

Definitions

An operator is usually, but not necessary an enterprise providing a variety of outsourced services like operations, maintenance and monitoring for a large number of clients like outsourcing enterprises or its equivalents.
An operator could also be any corporation or government operating a large number of domains.

Note: These definitions should be viewed as a guideline and not a strict set of rules. If you think your organisation fits the bill it probably does and we welcome you to apply for Operator status.

Operator benefits

This is a sample of the benefits an Operator enjoy. The complete list of benefits, commitments and discounts are regulated in the Operator Service agreement.

Operator discount

The operator gets a discount on every Premium and Basic domain block purchased according to the table below. DNSmonitor offers a discount on consultancy services for the operator.

Quarterly invoices

The operator is invoiced quarterly in advance for the number of domain blocks utilised at the end of the current invoice period. Domain blocks added during the invoice period are balanced on the next invoice.

Training

DNSmonitor will provide a complimentary day of DNS and DNS monitoring training. The training course could either be through video, at our location in Stockholm or at your facility.
Note: Travel expenses not included.

Early bird access

The operator will be notified about feature changes and additions in advance (usually two to three months). This allows the operator ample time to prepare the organisation and notify customers.

RO user accounts

As an operator you can assign any number of read-only user accounts to which you can assign any number of domains you monitor. This is perfect if you’d like to share the monitoring experience with your customers.

Priority support

Operator submitted support cases has priority and will be handled according to the operators service agreement.

Discount table

The tables below indicate the discount rate an operator is given. The final discount rates are finalised once the agreement is negotiated and signed.
